Driven by continuous growth, the business is seeking to immediately appoint a Structured Trade Finance Manager based in Dubai to help establish a solid cross-border financial platform in the Middle East.
Reports To: Head of Structured Trade Finance Asia Pacific
Works Closely With: Structured Trade Finance, Operations, Trade Finance, Corporate Finance, Project and Asset Management
Key Responsibilities:
• To recognise opportunities where finance can contribute to the commercial success of the business
• To originate new counterparts, opportunities and transactions (business development)
• To implement projects and structures in a sound and timely manner
• Develop and maintain systematic coverage of key clients in Asia from a finance perspective, to dove-tail with similar coverage from traders
• Assist the Geneva based Corporate Finance team in corporate transactions
• Assist in the implementation of fixed asset projects
• Assist in Trade Finance matters and discussions with financial institutions on bi lateral facilities
• To have a good understanding of the macro economic assessment of the countries in which the projects are concerned
• To closely report, monitor and assess risk connected to projects
• To help submit credit proposals to the credit committee in an efficient and timely manner
• To monitor the exposures and management of deals
• Responsible for establishing New and Growing existing regional Bank relationships
• Ambassador to market the corporate brand to counterparties in the region
• Position is based in Dubai and covers regional responsibilities including Middle East, East Africa and India
Person Profile:
Language: English Mandatory, Arabic desirable but not a must.
Education: A university degree in finance from a reputable university and/or professional qualification.
Previous Experience:
• Knowledge and experience of corporate finance
• Knowledge and experience with Islamic finance techniques desirable
• 5-10yrs experience in structured finance with 3-5 years’ experience of the oil and metals industry in structured trade finance specifically in Middle East
• Knowledge of risk cover placement and key industry players
