The Head of Wholesale Banking ensures efficient functioning of profit centres with a view to maximise profit and business development. He maintains contact with high net worth customers and business houses, and provides support to the Executive committee for identifying business opportunities and strategic planning.
Main Duties:
• Oversees day to day functioning of the Departments/Divisions as mentioned above.
• Monitors and recommends strategies for Marketing, develops annual Marketing plans and oversees their implementations.
• Reviews Credit proposals within his authorised limits and ensures maintenance of quality of credit protfolio.
• Oversees the design and development of Corporate products and services with a view to maintain the Bank’s competitive edge in the market.
• Ensures that quality customer service standards are maintained by his Functional Group Departments gainst SLA’s for each department. Periodically reviews and updates SLA’s.
• Sets business targets for profit centres within the Bank’s Marketing plan, monitors performance of profit centres and decides on the remedial action to ensure all business targets are met.
• Responsible for developing accountability table for his direct reportees.
• Responsible for the profitability of the unit and for the income generated through Asset Base, Fee, Interest and will be responsible for the Return on Capital and Assets of the Unit
• Responsible for meeting the compliance and Audit Requirements –Internal, External and Regulatory
• Periodically reviews the quality of human resources in his Functional Group
• Conducts performance evaluation of his Department/Division Heads based on targets achieved in key result areas.

Essential Qualifications/Experience Required
• Post Graduate degree in Commerce or Economics/MBA , Diploma in Marketing/ Associate of the Chartered Institute of Marketing , U.K desirable
• 15-20 years related hard core experience in a large commercial bank in the gulf region, out of which at least 10 years should (more...)
