My client a gobal institutional investor is looking to hire a Head of Operational Due Diligence to manage their new/exisiting external fund managers/brokers.
My client is a global institutional investor and has holdings across multiple sectors, geographies and asset classes, including public listed equities, fixed income, real estate, and private equity. The Head of Operational Due Diligence is in charge of managing the Operational Due Diligence team as well as performing all activities relating to Operational Due Diligence. In this capacity, you will advise the Head of Front Office Support as well as senior management on overall ODD policies/procedures on brokers and External Fund Managers (EFMs). Its main focus is on the service provision to Equities and Fixed Income front offices, but it expands many of its services to other asset classes.
As Team Leader you will advise the Head of Front Office support and senior management on overall ODD policies, procedures, tools and templates. Polices and procedures should be updated to reflect process improvements as well as changes to industry regulations. You will conduct and review ODD on new and existing EFMs/Brokers through review and onsite visits. Ensuring that ODD results are discussed and agreed with the Investment Department with concerns appropriately escalated. You will review ODD reports prepared by team to ensure follow up on significant issues as well as reviewing the ongoing operational performance of EFMs/brokers for consistency. As team leader you will build and manage the ODD function, conducting appraisals, coaching and professional development. This role will deal with multiple internal stakeholders including, Senior Management, Operations, Risk, Legal and Front Office.
To apply for this role you will have a Bachelors Degree, ideally with an industry qualification (e.g. CFA, CPA, ACA etc:) You will have significant experience in the Investment Management sector. Ideally candidates will have a good level of experience in ODD, although experience could be obtained from working in Internal Audit, Operational Control or Operational Risk.
