Key Responsibilities include:
*Daily monitoring of bank account balances and reconciliation *Daily monitoring and control of client trades, client cash reconciliation *Daily calculation and monitoring of risk and capital requirement in accordance with the requirements set out in the FSA handbook *Daily, weekly and monthly analysis, reconciliation and substantiation of revenue and balance sheet accounts *Responsible for month-end close and preparation of monthly management reports *Ensuring that adequate accounting and other records and internal controls in the finance areas are maintained. *Undertake process improvement and reengineering *And other ad hoc projects as assigned *Coordinating with the external auditors regarding the books and records, and statutory and regulatory financial statements of the firm
To be considered for this role, the ideal candidate will be a Qualified Accountant (ACA/ ACCA / ACMA/CIMA or equivalent) with previous experience in auditing, UK taxation and regulatory requirement, good working knowledge of FSA Handbook specifically BIPRU and GENPRU along with an in-depth knowledge of IFRS, financial management principles and techniques including planning, forecasting and budgeting.
