A new opportunity has arisen for a Senior Health, Safety & Environment Engineer to join their expanding team in Abu Dhabi. Role Summary: To ensure with Project Contractors that operation within all Project works-sites and associated areas are carried out according to Company’s HSE Policies and Procedures and International Standard Codes of Practice. Develop HSE induction training program for Contractor employees and monitor effectiveness to ensure awareness of safety and environmental protection. Role Description: Co-ordinates the implementation of health, safety and environmental program as per the established standards through direct on-site action and liaison with senior project supervisors and contractors HSE staff. Ensure projects plan health, safety and environmental requirements for their activities. Provides advice on specialized matters such as radiation safety, hearing conservation and industrial hygiene. Reviews and monitors safe systems of work e.g. method statements, permits to work for projects work. Monitors the application of workplace HSE controls and acts to prevent unsafe acts, conditions, or pollution incidents of any type. Ensures that emergency equipment is properly maintained and of appropriate type. Prepares weekly progress reports and acts as secretary at the Projects Workplace HSE Meeting Committee. Acts as part of the Emergency call-out organization as defined in the Emergency Plans and Procedures. Can conduct Task Risk Assessments & make recommendations for work control. Education: Degree in B.Sc Engineering discipline or Professional Safety Qualifications Experience: 6 years specialization in HSE in hydrocarbon processing installation with 3 yrs exp in supervisory role Working knowledge in worksite safety, radiological safety and industrial hygiene Effective written and oral communication skills and conversant with computer applications UAE Driving License Leave Cycle: Rotational Job with 38/25 days To submit your application in strict confidence, please apply online using the appropriate link below.
