The Role

The Role ROLE PURPOSE

Facilitate and prioritize maintenance scheduling and execution for PCC Nylon 6,6 Plant.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. PRACTICES AND PROCEDURES

Document and maintain practices, and procedures that ensure safe, incident-free, reliable plant operations and maintenance activities. Document roles and responsibilities for scoping, prioritizing, planning, scheduling, and executing maintenance work on the Nylon 6,6 Plant.

2. TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT

Support the department training programs to ensure Operations personnel work in a safe, incident-free manner. Ensure the practices and procedures for preparing equipment for maintenance, post maintenance prestart-up reviews, and returning equipment back to service are understood by all plant personnel and provide auditing and oversight of the processes to ensure safe, incident-free execution of the plant maintenance and turnaround plans. Help ensure personnel understand and follow all plant safe work processes, Plant Tenets of Operations, and their roles and responsibilities for executing the plant Operational Excellence Management System practices and procedures.

3. CONTINUOUS RELIABILITY IMPROVEMENT

Provide support for improvement teams for equipment and areas under Nylon 6,6 Plant control. Identify and track efficiency and cost data associated with maintenance and turnaround activities. Develop and communicate strategic improvement plans. Ensure improvement plans are aligned with and integrated into plant budgeting processes.

4. STRATEGIC PLANNING AND COMMUNICATIONS

Support the preparation of manpower plans, expense budgets, and capital budgets that ensure the efficient execution of maintenance and turnaround activities.

5. CONTRACTOR MANAGEMENT

Provide close oversight and coordination of maintenance contract personnel to ensure they work safely and provide a high quality of service to plant operations groups.

6. DOCUMENT MANAGEMENT

Ensure critical Department policies, practices and procedures are documented and maintained in accordance with the plant Operational Excellence System Standards and Specifications. Carry out document management and retention activities as scheduled and in a timely manner.

OPERATING CONTEXT, BOUNDARIES AND DECISION MAKING

The job holder provides coordination and prioritization support for all maintenance activities for the Nylon 6,6 Plant. They will support the Nylon Conversion Project through design, owner’s cost procurement, commissioning and start up activities.

Internally works closely with the maintenance group and the Nylon Operations Group to plan and prioritize maintenance activities. Supports plant improvement teams with data and research.

Externally has contact with Maintenance counterparts in SChem, Dupont, and equipment manufacturers to identify and adopt best practices applicable to PCC plant equipment and maintenance activities. Maintains contact with external maintenance service suppliers to support ongoing maintenance activities.

Decisions: Participates in decisions relating to scheduling and prioritizing maintenance activities for the Nylon 6,6 Plant. Makes recommendations and develops proposals for changes in procedures to support best practices and improve the efficiency and results of Nylon Plant maintenance activities. Requirements

Requirements Qualifications: Must have a minimum of a High School diploma.

Training: Must have knowledge and experience with Nylon Plant maintenance practices and procedures. Experience with maintenance planning and scheduling processes, plant safe work practices, and turnaround planning and execution.

Skills: Must have excellent verbal and written English communications skills. Proficient in MS-Office programs and maintenance planning processes. Good interpersonal and mentoring skills; good multi-tasking skills.

Experience: Must have a minimum of 8 years of Nylon Plant experience in an Operations or Maintenance position. About the Company
