Description We are urgently seeking to recruit a Senior Health and Safety Manager for our client, one of the most recognised and reputable providers of construction solutions within the Middle East Construction Industry. The HSE Manager will oversee the carrying out of site safety audits and siteinspections on construction sites and will possess strong communication skills in English. The successful applicant will be a graduate of H&S / Civil Engineer with NEBOSH/IOSH accreditation AND at least 20 yrs experience within the construction sector. (At least 10yrs of which has been in H&S). You will have been Head of HSE on large scale construction sites in the past (preferably high rise) and will hae a solid mix of consultancy and contractor (emphasis is on contracting / on site experience). Role: Coordinating and monitoring all health, safety and environment activities to ensure agreed safety and loss prevention standards are fully implemented and properly followed. Acting as the client representative on HSE matters for coordinating and conducting weekly site inspections. Attending weekly company progress client meeting Undertaking daily HSE inspections ensuring follow- up and rectification of detected irregularities. Reviewing the HSE manual and all health, safety and environment related documentation, including method of statements, work permit procedures and safety equipment requisitions to ensure compliance with established standards. Assisting in the preparation of the client's specific HSE operating procedures to ensure contract obligations are met. Investigating accidents and Near Miss reports. Experience of working on Middle East projects will be highly advantageous for this role. This is a senior role that will involve overseeing H&S on a $2 billion construction project.
