My client is a Major Energy Operator for the Middle East region based in Qatar. Working on the largest Gas Project in the Middle East, this project involves the transport of gas from an offshore location to an onshore gas plant, to be distributed via subsea pipelines to other Middle Eastern countries. Due to project requirements, an opening exists for an experienced Senior Asset Integrity Engineer to be based in Qatar. It will be a long term position, with family status provided. Scope of work To coordinate and implement Inspections and Integrity Management programs for all structures, vessels, pipe lines, platforms and equipment of the onshore and offshore facilities of Ras Laffan plant
Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Materials and Corrosion, Metallurgical or Mechanical Engineering Minimum of 12 years experience in Inspections and Maintenance in Oil and Gas Minimum of 12 years experience as Inspection Engineer in major oil/gas refinery, gas processing or petrochemical plant including offshore production facilities Strong communication skills in English Responsibilities
Coordinates efficient and cost effective implementation of inspections and integrity management programs to ensure integrity of plant facilities including all onshore and offshore structures and pipelines, stationary equipment, piping systems, etc., to identify, investigate and assess deterioration/corrosion and ensure timely maintenance of the affected facilities Implements companyâs Inspection and Corrosion Control Policy (ICCP) and Risk Based Inspection (RBI) methods to manage integrity, and optimize inspections frequency, maintenance cost and plant availability Participates in preparation of Capital and Operating budgets for Inspection Unit Monitors and oversees the execution of inspection programs and activities. Liaises closely with Operations, Technical Services and other Maintenance Units to coordinate major shutdowns and turn-around activities Supervises witnesses and participates in certification process of hydro tests and load test of lifting devices and cylinders Ensures systematic and consistent implementation of work methods and procedures used in Maintenance and Inspection and recommends improvements. Ensures systematic update of SAP/CMMS/RBI systems. Reviews and approves welding procedures for process equipment fabrication and repairs Participates in technical studies, PID reviews, Safety Integrity Level (SIL) assessments and HAZOPâs
