Job Code: RLP/07/008 Primary Purpose Of The Job: Reporting to the Head of Industrial Planning, the Senior Industrial Project Engineer is the primary focal point within RLC for Gas-to-liquids and refining ventures, LNG & Gas processing ventures, and petrochemical ventures established or planned in Ras Laffan (end-users). The main purpose of the position is to ensure close and effective coordination between RLC and existing / planned gas-to liquids, LNG & gas processing, and petrochemical projects. The Project Engineer will be responsible for one of the three types of industries mentioned above, or a new type presently not anticipated. To fulfill this objective, the Project Engineer shall be familiar with the project processes, feed stocks and products; fully understand project requirements, and endeavor to ensure timely development of RLC facilities to meet these requirements. The Project Engineer shall represent the interests of QP during the design and construction of end-user projects, ensure compliance of end-user projects with QP/RLC policies, procedures and guidelines, and identify and promote synergies between the various projects. Education: BSc in Engineering. Advanced degree in business related area (e.g. MBA) is desirable. Experience & Skills: 10-15 years of experience in the Oil/Gas/Petrochemical sectors. Previous experience in planning or management of large industrial projects with exposure to a variety of disciplines. Comfortable in working with senior management and a broad range of external parties, Ability to represent QP and RLC in important meetings with end-users, including staff from major international oil companies and international contractors. Previous international experience, appreciation of cultural sensitivities.
