You will be responsible planning for Quality, Utilization, and Accreditation, Risk Management (including Patient Safety and Compliance Management) activities related to the planning, construction, commissioning and initiation of services for the company. You will oversee the planning, organization, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of the company Quality program, including functional program design, detailed departmental planning and equipment selection. Provides consultation to other departments regarding matters related to Quality as necessary. Key Accountabilities Responsible for establishing the Quality, Utilization, Accreditation, Patient Safety, Risk Management and Compliance Management programs within the company Develop the Quality, Accreditation, Patient Safety, & Risk Management Plans/Programs for the company, including all related policies and procedures, tools, & techniques. Oversee all aspects of planning, including department operations planning, staff planning, and resource and financial planning, IT development and equipment selection Coordinate the Quality Project plan as outlined by the Clinical Planning Project Director, defining objectives, strategy, and supporting reference sources. Provide support for company project staff in the assigned area of expertise. Is responsible for monitoring Sidra project staff activities as they relate to Quality to identify issues, variances, and conflicts making recommendations of possible solutions. Ensure close collaboration with stakeholders and advisors, overseeing and facilitating the team work of team members. Provide backup coverage for other Senior Clinical Planning Consultants and Clinical Planning Project Director. Conduct learning needs assessments and subsequent education sessions for project staff as related to Quality, Accreditation, Patient Safety, & Risk Management processes and concepts. Ensure that all design, construction, and operational planning incorporates relevant, evidence based and current Quality, Accreditation, Patient Safety, and Risk Management standards. Identify problems and issues related to facility design, construction, and project planning activities concerning Quality, Safety and Risk Management concepts and consults team members to identify solutions. Identify requirements for mandatory reporting required by the Qatar Supreme Health Council or other regulatory bodies and develops these reports for submission by the Executive Project Director. Develop protocols regarding the initiation of hospital and department Quality Plans. Makes recommendations to teams regarding accreditation, patient safety, clinical and occupational risk removal or mitigation plans. Develop new employee orientation to the Quality program. Develop and participates in educational programs for Quality practices for all staff so they can participate in the Quality, Accreditation, Patient Safety & Risk Management Programs. Serve as Chair of the Quality Committee and its sub committees and participates in other hospital committees as assigned. Manage Hospital-wide Quality Improvement activities, Patient Safety initiatives, Accreditation activities, Risk Management activities (clinical and non clinical), and Data mining for Utilization Review and Case Management, Compliance Management. Participate in self and others education, training, and development, as applicable. Perform other related duties as assigned. To Qualify for this role you must possess the following Experience & Skills Minimum of 5 years in a senior position or consultancy in Quality, Patient Safety, Accreditation and Risk Management, within a North American Academic Medical Center or equivalent. A working knowledge of JCI accreditation and familiarity with Joint Commission (USA) standards. Strong experience in the use of Data Collection systems used to monitor organizational and departmental performance within a digital hospital. Intermediate level knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office packages and SharePoint. Knowledge and experience in the use of Data Warehousing. Experience in implementing Patient Safety strategies including medication error prevention, falls risk reduction, pressure ulcer prevention, and patient safety rounds, with knowledge of IHI Patient Safety strategies. Formal training as an Auditor and experience in completing compliance type audits for Tracer methodology for accreditation and compliance auditing for ISO 9001 compliance. Hospital commissioning experience desired. Strong analytical, research and organizational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work harmoniously with a large variety of people, personalities and cultures. Self motivated and self directed.
