Under the general guidance and supervision of the Banquet Manager and Head Waiter, is responsible for providing efficient and courteous service to the Banquet & Restaurant guests.
1. Assist head waiter (Banquets) in supervising and co-ordinating activities of banquet personnel involved in such activities as follows:
preparing necessary materials and supplies for specific functions.
Arranging the function room / set up tables
presenting menu and taking orders (when necessary)
Serving guest / cleaning up after function.
participates in the activities of the banquet department.
2. Assists the head waiter (Banquets) in co-ordinating with kitchen, bars and other sections/departments to ensure that all necessary arrangements with preparations are properly made.
3. May be assigned to perform duties of Head Waiter when necessary.
4. May be assigned to supervise and participate in the activities of all waiters, bus boys and extra waiters assigned in a section of the function room during the actual service.
5. Receives and confers with host of function regarding last minute arrangements in absence of Head Waiter (Banquets).
6. Attends to guest complaints and requests, refers it to Head Waiter and Banquet Manager when necessary.
7. Keeps storeroom and all banquet areas clean and tidy at all times.
8. Ensure that grooming and state of uniforms of self and banquets waiter, bus boy are to the required company standard.
9. Complies with Hotel's health, safety, hygiene and fire policy.
10. Ensure that operational supplies items are clean and in good order including but not limited to, table linen, skirting, mouton, green and brown felts etc.
11. He is responsible for organizing and participating in the setting up, preparation of Banqueting and Conferences in accordance with Functions Sheets/Events Order
12.
