We are looking to recruit an experienced QA Manager (Mechanical / Oil & Gas) for a main contractor to work in Ras Laffan, Qatar. Quality Job role: This is a project site based role and you will head up the in charge of the project quality department and report directly to the Project Manager. The role covers: Engineering, Procurement, Installation, Construction and Pre-commissioning of Common Cooling Water System Facilities with associated ancillaries. Duties: Setting up and monitoring quality systems including Quality Assurance Procedures and Plans for mechanical construction projects Supervising a team of QA Engineers on site Performing internal quality audits Quality Improvement initiatives Establishing and monitoring Key Performance Indicators Handling all quality issues with project management and the Client's representatives on site Training of project personnel in Quality Management Candidate Requirements: BSc Degree, Mechanical Engineering. HND or equivalent could be accepted if accompanied with strong professional qualifications and experience. Registered Quality System Assessorship, IRCA or equivalent will be considered as a plus. Additional qualifications and training pertaining to Quality Management is considered essential. Minimum 15 years of experience in the construction QA/QC with at least 10 years experience in a hands on quality or position in the mechanical (oil & gas) construction industry.
