Legal Counsel Oryx GTL Doha, Qatar Ref: GP570-60 Oryx GTL The Role The Role To assist the Legal Manager to: Oversee and manage the provision of all legal services to the Company to ensure maximum compliance and protection of its legal rights, minimum exposure to risks and to maintain its operations within the limits prescribed by law. Assist Chief Executive Officer, Chief Officers and other line managers of the Company in carrying out the objectives and mission of the Company. Provide sound legal counseling which will facilitate management decision making, Assess legal risk, draft and negotiate various types of contracts to protect the interests of Company against legal exposure and liability. Review and assess legal disputes facing ORYX GTL and provide a legal opinion to guide management decisions. Requirements Requirements Qualified Lawyer with LL.B, LLM or LL.D of Law from an accredited law school; Significant: Demonstrated competence in establishing positive working relationships and effective communications with employees, colleagues and senior management; Commitment to a culturally diverse employment and industrial environment. 8 -10 years of experience, with a minimum of 5 years in the Qatari Market. (5 to 7 years minimum) legal and administrative experience in an oil and gas setting; Excellent exposure to IP environment. Fluency in both Arabic and English Languages. Time Management Business Skills and Understanding Negotiation Data Collection and analysis Communication Budget preparation and fiscal management. Ability to work independently and also within multidisciplinary teams.
