Responsible for assigned activities within an engineering discipline in a global business unit. Applies broad knowledge of engineering principles and practices to project engineering in the preparation of engineering analyses. Makes decisions concerning problems within the discipline on the project. Represents the discipline on the project and with the client as directed to resolve technical questions.
Technical management and coordination for Door Hardware & Master Keying of design services by designer employed by design-build contractor including:
Meetings with Designer/Contractor for resolution and advancement of door hardware design and access control coordination issues with special systems group
Drafting correspondence to Contractor and Client regarding hardware design issues
Resolve queries specific to for Contract packages (Cp) Contract design scope issues
Coordinate design issues between Contractor and Client, New Doha International Airport (NDIA), Master Keying Consultant provide Door Hardware & Master keying design management and review services to support Clients Master Key Consultant and Security Consultant
Review all Cps Door Schedules for coordination of hardware types across the NDIA site and proper access control coordination Meeting with and presenting or coordinating presentation organization of project information to client designated Master Key Consultant, client, and end users
Review hardware samples for conformity to technical specifications Knowledge of key function numbers for proper assessment of correct locks and hardware for room functions. Be responsible for verification of work at contract closeouts
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Mechanical engineering
Experience: Relevant experience with expertise/technical understanding of Door Hardware design and implementation. Design and Construction of airport design and Door Hardware experience desirable. Master Keying experience consider significant plus
Communication: Written & Oral, fluent in English Language, must be capable of writing clear contractual & technically descriptive letters. Must be fluent in the English language in order to chair and carryout fluent communication during meetings and writing letters
Computer Literacy: MS Office Suite; Acrobat professional V8 or higher. Autocad is advantageous but not mandatory
Technical Skills: Knowledge and experience with door hardware design/design management of large complex buildings, with aviation facilities in particular very advantageous
Other Remarks: Successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out the responsibilities described above for the New Doha International (more....)
