General Manager Industrial Supply Aspiriti Executive Recruitment Qatar Ref: KP633-18 Aspiriti Executive Recruitment The Role The Role Our client is a large local conglomerate with a poad business offering of well-known global pands. This division has 2 main business lines - Supplies and Lupicants/Petroleum Products. The Supplies business has developed an integrated distribution network serving all industrial requirements with a particular emphasis on equipment and materials for the construction and energy sectors. Products are divided into electrical, tools & safety and automotive. The Lupicants/Petroleum Products business is sole agent for a global market leader that distributes to industrial, automotive and marine industries. They are now looking for an experienced General Manager to take control of moving the company into its next phase of development. They are now looking for a GM with full strategic and operational responsibilities. You will have full responsibility for P&L, budgets and working capital employed in the division. You will lead the growth and development of the business, evaluating, tendering and acquiring new projects. You will manage and direct all operations. Requirements To be considered for this role you will: Have strong communication ability Be a seasoned negotiator and have strong decision making ability Extensive supervisory/managerial experience in a heavy equipment dealership level Have been responsible for sales, service and parts Have experience in building up and developing businesses in a region - ideally within MENA Be a proven leader pinging vision and execution capability to the organisation Strong financial skills A high level of interpersonal skills and able to handle sensitive and confidential situations Able to interact and communicate with people at all levels of the organisation Ideally you will have a relevant degree in Business or Engineering. Requirements Requirements To be considered for this role you MUST: Have at least 10 years relevant technical experience - including 3 as a general manager with full P&L expertise Be able to construct realistic strategic plans AND be proven to be able to implement action plans from the strategy Be able to demonstrate experience in delivering profits and revenue growth in a similar business Be a strong business leader, proven experience in managing a diverse workforce Have excellent customer relations and business development expertise Strong b2b expertise You will have relevant technical qualifications (professional MBA or similar highly regarded). You must have excellent English communication skills.
