Job Code: RHD/08/005 Primary Purpose of the Job: Ras Laffan Environmental Association (RLES) is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to: Monitor and provide accurate, credible, transparent and understandable environmental data that can be used by industry to make informed decisions that relate to health, safety and environmental quality. Represent the interests of Ras Laffan Industrial Citys industries to regulatory bodies, Non-Government Organizations and the general public. Achieve continuous improvement of health and environmental performance in the design, construction, operation and management of Ras Laffan ventures. The Environmental Association Coordinator of the RLES is responsible for the overall management of the Association and the implementation of its programs. Design, implement and manage all RLESs environmental studies, investigations and monitoring efforts, including, but not limited to: operation and maintenance of ambient air stations to meet 95% data capture rate; ambient air quality data review and reporting; data validation; emissions inventories; and marine ecological surveys. Education: MSc Environmental Science/Engineering. Experience: Five years experience in the management of environmental issues (air quality, air emissions inventory a dispersion modeling, marine ecological studies, environmental impact assessments and waste management . Familiarity with QMS and EMS as well as international environmental legislation is required.
