Posted by Manpower Professional / Clarendon Parker ME on 15/11/2009 Manpower Professional / Clarendon Parker ME Our client is one of the largest most diversified, multi locational and multidivisional marketing and engineering organizations in the Sultanate of Oman, handling several international reputed brands. Established in 1970, from a busy shop dealing only in electronics in Muttrah souq in 1970, to the dynamic enterprise it is today, the vision of the company and the endeavor to fulfill it is a story of changes that span over 35 years. They are looking at recruiting Warehouse and Logistics Manager. Responsibilities: -Heading the warehouse/Logistics/Distribution function of the Electronics & Home Appliances and Engineering division. The division has over 30 employees (Warehouse Executives, Supervisors, Technicians and Drivers). -Responsible for planning the warehouse space for frequent imports, receiving the stocks and storing it properly with health, safety and environment protections. -Plan the annual budgets for the overheads and monitor the same on a monthly basis. Continuously try and improve on the costs, negotiate with vendors for annual rate contracts, etc. -Maintain the stocks in the IT system and facilitate the marketing and sales team by timely delivery of products to the power retailers, hypermarkets, dealers, company showrooms, individual customers, etc. -Provide adequate training for the delivery and installation team and to handle every product carefully on movement. At least 12+ years of experience in the Warehouse and Logistics of Electronics & Home Appliances in a large Organization. He should have been heading the Division at least for the last 5 years. Preference will be given to candidates who have worked in a similar capacity with a large manufacturing or Distribution company or a large EHA dealership in the middle east.
