SH PS Core Planning Nawras Muscat, Oman Ref: GP843-49 Nawras The Role The Role You will be leading team of Senior Engineers responsible for planning, budgeting, monitoring and optimization of packet core network. You will be performing tasks in the area of responsibility within upfront defined time plans and annual budget. You will be creating strategic plans in terms of packet core network development. You will be evaluating stakeholders' requirements in terms of new services, features, configuration deployments in packet core network, new technologies evaluation and deployments recommendations. You will be fully responsible for packet core network performance monitoring and optimization, interdepartmental communication in regards to packet core network projects, people management within projects lifecycle and to follow up of the daily activities within packet core network Requirements Requirements You have a University degree in Telecom Engineering, you have minimum 5 years of experience in leading teams responsible for planning large, diverse and multivendor 2G / 3G packet core networks, experience in planning and / or O&M within large, diverse and multiple-vendor packet core networks environment. You have strong experience and knowledge at the following: - End-to-end knowledge of 2G / 3G packet core network, strong understanding of 2G / 3G packet core network architecture and standards - Strong troubleshooting experience within 2G / 3G packet core networks - Strong background with Ericsson SGSN and GGSN nodes with SW releases up to SGSN R2008B and GGSN R5 - Strong background in Ericsson MPBN design, deployments and acceptance testing - Strong experience in working with Ericsson dual / resilient SGSNs and resilient MPBN network - Strong technical skills in IP Networking (IPv4, IPv6, OSPF, GRE, BGP, IPSec, VLANs). - Additional to the above you have experience with Quality of Service (QoS) and Class of Service (CoS) Technologies and experienced in use of tools like Sniffer or Wireshark. You are a team player with leadership skills. You have excellent communication skills (written & spoken) English. you are creative - thinking out of the box and you can be able to work well under pressure and deliver on time.
