Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Manager Nawras Oman Ref: GP843-62 Nawras The Role The Role You will be responsible to establish the HSE framework, standards, and assurance that systems, inspection, and audits are in place. You will ensure all staff are trained in the skills and to the level of HSE appropriate to their job content. You will ensure that staff applies HSE in the workplace and that active practices for emergencies are held on a regular basis e.g. fire practices/evacuations in buildings, etc. responsibilities shall also include the following: Ensuring that there is a formal manual of HSE policies and procedures. Keeping apeast of ongoing developments in the areas of HSE, both local and international requirements, and ensure Company's standards reflect up-to-date thinking. Implementing and maintaining Company's standards for fire and other risks and further develop methodologies for Line to determine the optimum level of protection, based on business risk. Setting up standards for emergency response, and personnel and training requirements for the staffs are in place at all times. In the case of epidemics, ensure that public advice is widely disseminated in the Company, and that necessary precautions are taken. Ensuring that there are clear policies in place on working conditions, including heat, smoking, maximum working and driving hours, equipment to be worn, etc Ensuring that there are procedures and processes in place covering all major safety risks, including, construction, climbing, driving, office and shops Ensure that our activities are executed within the various regulations this will include radiation emissions, materials used in construction or maintenance of assets, etc. Monitor HSE performance in terms of (the lack of) accidents, lost time, fines and other admonitions from the authority. Requirements Requirements You have a degree in Engineering or similar preferably in Safety. You have 15 years of experience as a HSE Manager. You are HSE certified/qualified. You have excellent communication skills (written & spoken). You have very good problem solving skills and you have excellent Interpersonal Skills and report writing skills.
