Head of Corporate & Commercial Banking MRL Financial Oman Ref: GP195-657 MRL Financial The Role The Role Plan organize manage and control the department activities (portfolio) and resources in order to ensure optimal results Plan organize lead and monitor business development plans and programs in order to meet targeted results. Based on market information meet and negotiate with customers in order to add good quality assets to the banks portfolio. Identify and monitor actual and potential risk and take proactive measures in order to control banks exposure. Improve portfolio profitability by expansion of fee based income. Provide advise guidance and direction to the department staff on corporate business. Manage the departments credit training programs and develop credit skills. Expand personal skill set through in house training Define plan organise and monitor the services delivered to customers in order to build and sustain customer satisfaction. Ensure internal, CBO guidelines and procedures are strictly followed in order to protect banks interest, avoid losses due to documentation problems and criticism by internal, external and CBO auditors Support bank wide initiatives to control / reduce operational expense Requirements Requirements Minimum Requirements: 10 years experience in the financial and banking sector and been part of a risk management team, preferably with an international bank with a focus on retail banking. Good general knowledge of various banking operations and banking products/instruments Strong organizational and planning skills to be able to conceptualise and put into practice ideas Self-confidence to deal effectively at the highest levels Been a team player with the ability to motivate and lead Good business sense and the ability to develop an understanding of the banks products and dynamics in the market. Have uncompromising ethics and the willingness to take a stand with line management on business decisions from a financial perspective and business conduct. Adequate systems skills Prior work experience in the gulf.
