A young and rapidly expanding company, Al Tayer Trends is now looking for a Head Chef
Job purpose:
To efficiently manage and supervise all kitchen operations and ensure high standards of food, health and hygiene are achieved thereby ensuring customer satisfaction.
principal Accountabilities:
1. Ensure appropriate policies and procedures are in place to cover key areas of kitchen operations and effective systems are in place for monitoring compliance with all procedures.
2. Monitor food quality and consistency to ensure food presented is of highest quality and standard.
3. Supervise daily food production operations to ensure it is in accordance with the Municipality standards and compliant with any Government related food handling regulations
4. Guide, train and develop staff in acquiring superior culinary skills as per the menu/company guidelines and standards.
5. Monitor stock levels to maintain optimum efficiency and ensure efficient turnaround of perishable stock within the permissible time frame.
6. Maintain the highest standards of hygiene, cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen.
7. Ensure complete and thorough knowledge of usage of all kitchen machinery and equipment.
8. Attend management meetings when required to discuss and resolve operational issues and to establish strategies for improvement and development.
Acknowledge and address all customer feedback through management to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.
Knowledge Skills and Experience:
University degree in relevant technical or business related discipline with tertiary qualification in kitchen Management
Communication and management skills.
8-10 years total relevant experience in the industry
