Posted by Manpower Professional / Clarendon Parker ME on 05/08/2009 Manpower Professional / Clarendon Parker ME Our Client, a multi locational and multidivisional FMCG organisation in the Sultanate of Oman, handling several international reputed brands, is currently seeking a General Manager - Sales and Marketing. You will be having a Profit Centre responsibility in sales of Air-conditioners, Electronics and Home appliances. Reporting to the CEO, your main responsibilities will include: o Interacting with Principals for procurement, pricing, marketing strategies, etc. o Effective forecasting of product requirements, order placement and inventory control. o Continuous monitoring of the sales results including top line and bottom line achievements on a monthly basis. o Understanding the market potential and developing the market share in a consistent and planned way. o Effectively train marketing and sales team to deliver quality services and maintain sales growth. o Leading the team of marketing and sales personnel and providing necessary support to them to achieve the business targets. o Identifying new marketing channels and developing them. o Exhibiting good product management skills and marketing skills. o Developing the brands represented by us in the market, increasing the market share consistently. o Regular competitor analysis and taking appropriate action for marketing strategies. o Designing an effective incentive scheme to motivate the sales team to achieve higher volume of sales. The ideal candidate must be a graduate of Business Administration, preferably with an MBA. Candidate should be able to lead and develop a team of professionals to handle multiple products, brands and distribution channels for profitable growth and diversification. In addition to Marketing and Sales, candidate should have experience in product and organisational strategy. He/she should have at least 10+ years of experience in Sales and distribution at senior level. CJME
