Construction Manager KCM Recruitment Oman Ref: KP223-21 KCM Recruitment The Role The Role Objective: Our client is a leading international company working through out the Middle East, Africa and Eastern Europe. They are involved in large civil and building projects with a turnover in excess of $10billion. They are a JV partner on an airport project in Oman with an initial value of $1.5Billion. The project has just started and they have an immediate requirement for a senior construction manager to join their team. Main responsibilities : Supervision of Staff, Labour and sub contractors Working to Program Liasing with Project Manager QA/QC Organisation of Materials Safety Reporting to : Project Manager Subordinates : Site Engineers, Foremen, Site Agents Duration : Permanent Desired start date : ASAP Requirements Requirements The ideal candidate will have a degree in engineering, a minimum of 25 years experience and have worked on the new build construction of airports. You will have heavy civil engineering projects behind you including construction of runways, aprons etc. You will have good experience in Reinforced Concrete. This is a design and Build project and experience on this type of project would also be an advantage. You will be capable of working within a multi cultural team and be capable of working on the front line. You will be responsible for a large section of the civil package and report directly to a project manager. A full site team will be at your disposal and you must be capable of organising your own team to maximise efficiency. Previous Middle East experience would be an advantage.
