purpose
Functional or Technical Maximo resources to staff various projects in the Middle East and Asia pacific. Will consider both Full Time and Contract-based employment.

This position requires an individual with experience in, and understanding of industries such as Transportation, Utilities and Oil and Gas.

Essential Functions
Technical
1. provide technical services over the entire life cycle of a project
2. Work with the project team to define and develop new solution architectures
3. perform development activities to implement business requirements
4. Develop detailed technical designs for business solution components and prototypes
5. Install new instances or upgrade existing instances of Maximo
6. Manage multiple technical environments and support the development and testing processes
7. Lead or perform data conversion and migration
8. Complete system configuration requirements and construct interfaces with external systems
9. Identify areas of customization and optimization and provide solutions that meet the business requirements
10. Lead or perform integrated system testing
11. Support requests from users to research system problems or errors, and assist with the resolution

Functional
1. Support Maximo implementations projects in areas such as Work Management, planning, purchasing, Inventory, etc.
2. The work required to perform includes, but is not limited to, the following:
* Lead or assist in the data gathering, development, training and rollout of standard and custom Maximo-based features
* perform detailed Functional review and analysis of current client Business practices, and provide recommendations for improvements based on industry best practices and the functionality provided by the Maximo application
* Lead or assist in the development and documentation of client business process flows
* Lead or assist in Maximo reports design from a functional perspective
3. provide input into application design based on knowledge of client business needs and practices
4. Develop detailed functional designs for business solution components and prototypes
5. Support requests from users to research system problems or errors, and assist with the resolution

Requirements
1. Experience in, and understanding of, current railroad maintenance procedures, practices, and processes.
2. Experience in railroad disciplines such as Track, Communications & Signals, bridges, Buildings, and Electrification.
3. BS in computer Science, Engineering or Business related field and/or equivalent work experience
4. Strong Maximo technical or functional knowledge required to help execute numerous sub-projects within overall EAM program.
5. Minimum three (3) years of hands-on experience in a technical or functional position with the implementation and utilization of fully integrated enterprise asset management system
6. Minimum of two (2) years Maximo experience
7. Must be able to convert requirements into specifications, and (for technical) configure, tailor and or customize the solutions including building interfaces
8. Ability to create and update advanced functional or technical documentation
9. Must possess strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a project team environment
10. Must have strong project team experience with multiple successful Maximo project implementations
11. Technical: One (1) to five (5) years coding/development experience with:
o Interface writing
o Java/J2EE
o BEA WebLogic Application Server
o Windows 2003 server operating system
o XML
o pL/SQL
o Oracle 9i or later
o Report Writers: Actuate, SQR, Crystal
12. Functional: Minimum of five (5) years of hands-on experience in a functional position with the implementation and utilization of fully integrated enterprise asset management system
13. Ability to lead sub-projects within overall EAM program as may be assigned

preferred
1. Maximo Certification
2. Maximo Enterprise Adapter experience
3. Advanced experience with:
o XML experience, including deployment of Web services
o MS SQL Server.
o Visual Basic, .net and C++.
