About the Job Our client is looking to recruit a high calibre individual with relevant Internal Audit consultancy experience seeking a strong career move with a prestigious firm based in the Middle East. The ideal candidate will have Financial Services experience (Investment or retail exposure) or construction / oil and gas. Key responsibilities: Ability to undertake the following types of engagement - Risk-based internal audits - Enterprise risk management - Corporate governance advisory - Cost improvement reviews - Contract compliance reviews The Individual: Minimum qualifications: - A recognized degree in Accounting/ Finance/ Business or related disciplines - A professional qualification e.g. ICAEW, ACCA, CPA - CIA and / or CISA qualifications an advantage Experience: - 6 - 9 years work experience gained in a large audit and /or consulting firm, or a leading commercial organization of which a majority should be in internal audit Industry sector experience requirements: - Investment banking, insurance - Islamic banking knowledge an added advantage - Multi-country experience an advantage Personal attributes: - Ambitious, mature and business-minded with strong leadership and high ethical standards - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, analytical ability and presentation skills - Ability to manage tight deadlines and prioritises tasks Language requirements: - Ability to write reports independently with the highest standard of English - Good spoken English - Bilingual skills i.e. English-Arabic would be an advantage Key role and responsibilities - Handle 1-2 engagements at a time - Manage 1 to 4 subordinates - Review of engagement team members work - Deliver presentations (engagement specific) - Proposal development (assist lead manager) - Roll out in-house training programme for junior staff Reporting responsibility - Senior Manager Candidates Performance Manager - Senior Manager Staff Mentoring - Candidate will be performance manager for 2 to 3 people Excellent p (more...)
