My client is looking for an MIS Director to report to the Vice President of Operations and the Vice President of Business and head up the MIS Team of their new Dubai office. Key responsibilities of the MIS Director include:
-Establishing and implementing the regional strategic MIS plan
-Managing the companys existing projects in the MENA region and providing the required technical and logistical support to ensure project success
-Providing technical assistance to the company in the facilitation of planning and directing the complex design, installation, modification and operation of an information systems capability
-Developing the Information System in the MENA region branch, located in Dubai, to be the regional hub for providing MIS services to the MENA Operations, as well as reporting and enquiry services to the China HQ
-Overseeing the establishment of hardware and software infrastructure that includes servers, storage devices, databases, communication systems, emailing systems and security systems
-Overseeing the establishment of the core business applications. That includes financial platform, such as Oracle Financial. Each Country in the MENA must have its own oracle module and various projects
-Ensuring that the Procurement, materials and inventories management applications platform will be evaluated to suit the power plants applications
-Serving as the primary company spokesperson for information management
-Shaping the organisational direction and goals for IT project management and possibly participating in strategic development
The MIS Director must have a minimum of 15 years experience working as an Information Systems Manager, of which 4 to 5 years were spent in the MENA region.
To be considered for the MIS Director role you must:
-Have a Bachelors degree in a related discipline
-Have extensive and proven experience in Information Technology management in the power industry including participation in major IT program or system implementation
-Have both professional and technical experience and the ability to apply advanced mathematical concept
-Be fluent in both written and spoken English
