My client is an international EPC contractor in the Oil and Gas industry. They have over 90 offices worldwide involved in multibillion dollar projects. Due to the award of a new project as well as ongoing projects, there is a requirement for Lead and Senior Piping Engineers with experience in offshore oil and gas design. This role will be based in Doha. Lead and Senior Piping Engineers (Offshore Design)– Qatar Requirements Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, preferably with Membership to Institute of Engineers, Australia (MIEA) or equivalent Minimum 10 years piping engineering experience on offshore and onshore projects Sound understanding of offshore engineering practices applicable to topsides equipment layout and piping design for oil and gas facilities Extensive design experience in piping engineering, pipe stress, pipe supports, topsides and onshore plant equipment layouts and detailed piping design Knowledge of piping materials in the preparation of piping, valve and SP Item specifications and subsequent purchasing to required standards Experience on Brownfield and asset service type project/contracts Responsibilities Organise and manage a team of piping discipline engineers and designers Establish a list of discipline deliverables and control, monitor, and progress these deliverables to an agreed schedule. Manage resource requirements of piping department Exercise guidance to staff in the maintenance and preparation of piping materials, valve and SP Item specifications for the client to purchase the required materials.
