RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Organizes and integrates software in accordance with design criteria and performance objectives for a system of real-time and near real-time applications. 2. Ensures hardware availability in support of software development, testing, and system staging requirements. 3. Focal point and coordinator for integration efforts. Guides developers in support of this function. 4. Defines integration activities and develops technical solutions in response to project needs. 5. Responsible for system level documentation including system installation guides, maintenance documentation and release notes. 6. Estimates integration effort and delivers results to scope, schedule, and quality. 7. Provides leadership to more junior staff. 8. Keeps abreast of the latest trends and software technology integration and applies this knowledge to solution approaches. 9. May be called upon to integrates and commission applications/systems at customer sites 10. Follows software development process in line with QA plan. Skills

Experienced software engineer with a software systems integration experience and desire to work in an object oriented, multi-tier environment. Works with a team to design, integrate, and maintain software to meet the needs of the energy markets. Technologies included in solutions to this problem domain include enterprise database systems, real-time SCADA systems, web communications and user interfaces, as well as messaging and event technologies.
1. Good oral / written communication skills 2. Technically solid performer who can independently design, develop, integrate, and test an engineering effort to completion. May lead one or more developers in such an effort. 3. Experience in the electric utility industry with knowledge of SCADA and EMS application integration. 4. Familiar with relational database (Oracle, PL/SQL, SQL) and object-oriented programming principles. 5. Experience with Linux and Windows including installation, performance tuning, and multi-platform integration. 6. Optionally: Ã General knowledge on the complementary technical environment connected to the system: RTU, Telecommunications, DCS Gateway and Control Center Environments. Ã Understanding of Internet/WWW communications and related tools and technologies such as web servers, web security, web browsers, XML, and TCP/IP. 7. Able to clearly articulate (in verbal and written forms) a technical direction and plan with the development team. 8. Able to effectively coordinate with other team members with good interpersonal relation skill (Vendors, employees, client, sub-contractor)Very strong problem-solving skill. Education
