Job Code: EED/08/002 Primary Purpose Of The Job: Development and implement multi-disciplinary engineering and topographic GIS data models on Corporate GIS database, supervise timely GIS database updates from as-built engineering records and / or field data gathering, data QA/QC, perform and supervise GIS Analysis, develop business GIS application models and develop visualization models (e.g 3D models, fly-through, animations etc.) and ensure timely provision of GIS services to user departments.
Education and Qualification : A university degree in civil / electrical / mechanical / instrumentation engineering
Knowledge, Skills & Experience Ten years experience in development and implementation of relational database models and business application models preferably on ESRI GIS platform. In depth knowledge of ESRI GIS tools Knowledge of Oracle and SQL is essential. Knowledge of using CASE technology and UML and programming skills are highly desirable. Must be capable of self-training in use of new software and in adapting to new technology. Must be capable of understanding and extracting information from multi-disciplinary engineering drawings. Knowledge and experience in using programming languages such as VB.Net and Java are highly desirable. Must have good communication, report writing and supervisory skills.
