As Project Services Engineer, you'll manage or support the Project Manager with the delivery of a project or major component of a large project. This typically includes most, if not all of the following:
 * Involvement in the development of project execution plans, ensuring that resources, organisation, project schedule and contract strategies are appropriate * Managing stakeholder and client expectations * Developing the permits and consent register, and managing the process of obtaining all necessary approvals on time and in line with the project schedule * Involvement in the tendering and evaluation of design, construction, installation and procurement contracts * Managing the front-end and detailed design activities * Supervising the materials procurement process from requisitioning to delivery at site. You'll also ensure adequate monitoring and tracking of materials and equipment usage, and reconciliation during and after execution of the project * Ensuring that the project follows the mandatory project management system and assurance processes * Ensuring strict adherence to project quality, health, safety, environmental, cost, and schedule guidelines * Developing, managing and maintaining a project risk management register * Managing and communicating the project performance * Managing and overseeing the construction phase of the project * Close involvement with the commissioning aspects of the project execution phase Liaising with the operations team to ensure that handover of systems is planned and managed efficiently and all documentation is in place to effect final handover to operations. Skills Requirements :
With a BSc or MSc degree in engineering or its equivalent, you'll possess substantial experience gained with leading projects in the oil and gas industry. You'll also have:
 * Substantial experience as a technical professional in the oil and gas industry in one of the main technical disciplines before getting involved with project management * Demonstrable knowledge and experience in developing project execution plans, including resource planning * Familiarity with operational requirements and philosophies, and the ability to incorporate these into the project * Solid contract management experience, for example with detailed design, construction, installation and procurement contracts * General familiarity with project management techniques, tools and practices * Well developed IT skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all modern communication tools including e-mail, the internet and video conferencing BT |
