•Perform a central role in proactively sourcing the firm’s investments.
•Responsible for reviewing offering materials from prospective fund investments, performing portfolio analysis and research, supervising the writing and doing the presenting of investment recommendations to the Directors and Investment Committee.
•Lead transactions, engagement letter and deal negotiations.
•Has primary responsibility for the closing process for new investments, which includes coordinating the due diligence process, working with legal counsel on review of closing documents, preparing investment recommendations, and negotiating investment-related issues.
•Pro-actively manage equity investments portfolio, maximizing incremental revenue and asset growth opportunities through the development of strong inter-industry relationships.
•Monitor investments made by the fund and ensure the completeness and timeliness of investment reporting to directors, the investment committee, LPs and other outside parties.
•Communicate as needed with the custodian, the transfer agent and all other related parties.
•Analyze our total fund portfolio to see that it maximizes the funds investment returns.
•Stay abreast of capital markets conditions to proactively identify investment opportunities.
•Establishing and maintaining relationships with private equity staff at other investing institutions and among the investment manager community.
•Serve on boards.
•Interview, hire and coordinate the training of new employees.
•Supervise associates, analysts and vice presidents conducting company research, valuation analysis, seller research and industry and competitive analysis.
•Communicate all department and corporate information through the use of regularly scheduled meetings.
•Perform salary and performance reviews of the staff. Skills

•Minimum of 10 years’ experience in analyzing and recommending public equity and/or private equity investments.
•MBA required; CFA not required, but highly desirable.
•Banking, management consulting, private equity or operating company experience.
•Seeking a loyal and committed team player with hunger, drive, intensity and charisma and a willingness to perform a wide range of tasks.
•Proven ability to manage a team of 10+ investment professionals.
•Excellent analytical, writing and presentation skills.
•Strong aptitude for understanding of the financial market, business, legal and accounting issues involved in evaluating and investing in private equity.
•Strong people skills in judging capabilities of management of potential portfolio companies and negotiating partnership documents.
•Ability and willingness to undertake extensive (50%+) domestic and international travel. Company Profile
