Description One of the leading retailers in the region with a reputation for ambitious growth throughout the Middle East and Levant region. They have operations in Kuwait, Oman, and Jordan and are expanding across the region.
We are now looking for a key individual as Training and Development Manager Your role will involve the following *Defines local budget and consolidates the company training and development budget and business plan *Defines policy, procedures and standards for training and development *Ensures quality of training and development delivery according to best practises *Supervises / Manages the design of all training courses and materials ensuring effective and efficient use of resources (including MBA Program) *Sources cost-effective training & development solutions to meet the company requirements *Oversees all new starter training ensuring delivery of highest quality of knowledge and practical-based training *Manages managerial, local and functional trainings and development activities *Defines the plan for centralised (corporate) trainings and local training with input from local/BU HR responsible *Verifies the alignment of Performance Review with the training and development plan for resources and managerial positions *Manages the development, assessment and succession plan processes for all TSC departments *Evaluates and chooses between external and in-house training The Successful candidate will have at least 5 years Training and Development experience preferably within a retail environment. You must have experience with the Middle East and have a good understanding of local markets, laws and practises. Multi county experience coupled with fluency in Arabic would be a distinct advantage.
