Job Purpose and Scope:
Provides technical support to the Project Coordination Section by locating and retrieval of drawings and technical documents. Maintains various documents and updates central files on all aspects relating to different facilities in assigned operations division. Prepares multi-discipline drawings and maintains updated records. Issues tracings and routine drafting. Performs site visits for survey and collection of data of existing facilities.
Responsibilities:
⢠Maintains a comprehensive document control system for projects in assigned operations division, to control, record, distribute and file project documents in an efficient and timely manner. Establishes related logs, procedures, forms, numbering systems, computer files and records, to properly record and control project documents and discuss with supervisor, as appropriate.
⢠Receives, records and distributes all project documentation to various discipline engineers/parties concerned in assigned Operation Division. Monitors and controls an action list to ensure documents are reviewed and actioned by the parties concerned within the stipulated time and highlights delays. Maintains related files covering all disciplines on a regular basis.
⢠Assists Project Coordinators and Discipline Engineers in locating and retrieval of drawings and technical documents including vendors drawings, equipment specs and operating manuals. Classifies documents and drawings related to facilities and updates, as required.
⢠Prepares engineering drawings for mechanical/piping, electrical/instrumentation and civil disciplines. This includes the preparation of plans, layouts, isometrics, circuit diagrams, structural drawings, etc.
⢠Visits facilities on site to survey, collect data and prepare sketches for new designs, modification to the existing system/plants. Updates existing drawings and prepares as built drawings for the existing facilities for which no information is available in engineering records.
Minimum Requirements:
⢠Completion of Secondary School Education (12 years) plus 3 years formal education leading to a Diploma in Civil Engineering and Draughtsmanship.
⢠5 years general Engineering draughting experience including minimum 2 years in oil or related industries and one year in computer aided draughting, preparing specialized drawing in mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and Civil Engineering.
⢠Fair knowledge of written and spoken English. RD |
