IAS Senior Manager This market-leading member of the Big 4 is working with Taxation to build up its Middle East Tax Practice. This particular position is located within the practice that provides US tax compliance services for expatriates living and working throughout the region who continue to have US tax filing obligations. In addition the practice provides a complete international assignment service for organisations deploying staff across international boundaries. This includes strategic consulting advice, planning and compliance services as well as programme administration.
The client base includes major international corporations who have US expatriates working and living in the Middle East region, as well as educational institutions including many of the regions universities.
The firm provides IAS services to the largest oil production company in the world and currently employs approximately 1,500 US citizens. The majority of these individuals work in the headquarters in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.  The non-Saudi practice is where the growth in the practice will occur in the future. There are many more US companies setting up operations in the region that will result in an influx of expatriate workers including Americans.  Requirements US tax professionals at either a Manager or Senior Manager level who have extensive current US individual tax experience including expatriate tax experience.  The individuals need to be US qualified CPAâs or EAâs. Due to the level and amount of experience required, I would assume that the individuals have at least five years experience.  The individuals must be able to review and sign returns with a minimum of supervision. The successful candidate must be confident and have the ability to get along with a wide range of people as they will have extensive daily contact with clients through face-to-face meetings, telephone conversations and email.  While not essential it would be beneficial if the individuals have Big 4 experience (or have gained experience with the US tax administration the IRS).  Naturally, travel to other countries in the region (mainly Qatar and the UAE) will be necessary.  Employment Package We are flexible on package once appropriate candidates have been identified. The package may include:  Base salary Bonus Housing and utilities provided by firm (long-distance phone calls and internet service paid by the individual) Monthly car allowance Home leave allowance. Interest free car loan.
